Easy Steps to Becoming an LU Student

 

STEP 1: APPLY FOR ADMISSION

  • Select Application for Admission for regular enrollment.

  • Select Online Enrollment Application for Open Learning Program enrollment.

  • Open Learning Program students can accumulate twenty-four (24) semester hours before having to meet regular admissions requirements.

  • An Open Learning Program student can apply a maximum of 24 semester hours earned through the Open Learning Program to a baccalaureate degree, 18 to an associate degree, and 15 to a diploma or certificate.

 

STEP 2: COMPLETE ASSESSMENT, ORIENTATION, AND ADVISEMENT

  • Applicants for a diploma or degree should send their SAT or ACT scores to the Admissions Office.

  • Complete online Orientation and Advisement (this feature has yet to be added to our website, it will be available for the Fall 2008 semester).

  • Transfer students are provided a Transfer Credit Evaluation.

 

STEP 3: REGISTER FOR CLASSES

  • When you receive your application confirmation then create a new account in the Living University E-Learning System using your new Student ID and PIN.

  • Using the login ID and password you selected in creating your account, login and select Browse Courses.

  • Register online by clicking on the title of the course and then clicking on the Request Enrollment button.

  • You will receive a email confirmation of your enrollment.

 

STEP 4: REQUEST FINANCIAL AID

 

STEP 5: PAY TUITION AND FEES

  • Once your registration has been confirmed pay online using your credit card. We accept VISA and MASTERCARD.

  • Payment Deadline is January 15 except for late registrations.

 

STEP 6: BUY YOUR TEXTBOOKS

 

STEP 7: ATTEND FIRST CLASS MEETING

  • Students not completing the "icebreaker" assignment within the first week of class are dropped as no-shows. Re-registration is on a space available basis only.
