Assignment 1 Icebreaker (due by midnight EST, Wednesday, January 28)

Complete your icebreaker assignment by introducing yourself on the Discussion Forum. For credit, you will need to make three postings consisting of your short autobiography and two comments on the autobiographies of other students. The purposes of this icebreaker assignment are for you to introduce yourself to your classmates, to verify your enrollment in this course, and to promote student interaction. The icebreaker assignment is due by the eighth class day of semester. Post your autobiography as a reply to the "Bios" topic on the course forum. You can earn 25 bonus points in this course by doing so “on time.” On this assignment there is no credit granted for postings made the eighth class day of semester (the official Census Date).

Take the Lesson 1 Quiz. It is an open book objective question quiz (questions may be true/false, multiple choice, matching, and the like), with no time limit, worth 20 points.

Writing Assignment (due by 3 a.m. EST on Monday, February 1)

Carefully write a short essay answering the question "What Is Truth?" This assignment is worth 25 points. You can post your paper in Microsoft Word using the File Storage feature on your Navigation Bar. Some prefer to submit their papers in this manner to preserve the format.
