| These academic regulations and procedures are published to assist students
by providing information that is essential for planning and pursuing their
academic programs. Continuing efforts are made each year to revise and improve
these regulations and procedures in order to enhance the quality of the
University’s programs and the achievement of educational goals. The University
seeks that its academic regulations and procedures emphasize fairness, academic
integrity and the timely provision of information whose purpose is to ensure
fair and equitable treatment for the entire University community. The Office of
the Registrar assists students with any questions or problems which arise
concerning the interpretation of regulations and procedures.
Every student is responsible for knowing the academic regulations and procedures and for observing the procedures that govern his or her relations with the University. Any question regarding these regulations that cannot be answered by a student’s academic adviser should be referred directly to the Registrar's Office . Some students encounter special problems whose proper solution may require deviations from the academic regulations or procedures. Requests for such deviations in these regulations must be presented to the Office of the Registrar on General Petition forms. Petitions received by the Registrar will be forwarded to the proper committee or office for review and appropriate action. |
