Full-time students normally carry an academic load of 15 to 18 semester credit hours. A student must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours of courses for credit during a semester or at least 9 semester credit hours in the summer session in order to maintain full-time status. A graduating senior in the final semester may enroll in less than twelve hours and still be considered full-time, provided all graduation requirements are being met.

To enroll in more than 19 hours of courses for credit (which requires at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average), a student must obtain the written authorization of the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. Any action to add courses after registration which will cause a student to be enrolled in more than 19 hours requires approval of the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.
