Most of the courses in first year of the BA with a major in Theology degree program and those in the first year of the AAA in Theology program are the same. Full-time students can elect to either emphasize their general education courses in the first two years (Suggested Full-time Schedule A students) or focusing on completing theology courses in the first two years (Suggested Full-time Schedule B students).

We suggest that students who choose to focus on completing theology courses in the first two years elect to complete a Certificate in New Testament, the Diploma in Biblical Studies, and then the AAA in Theology degree as they progress toward meeting the requirements of the BA in Theology degree program. These certificate, diploma, and associate degree programs have been planned to avoid any duplication of effort and all courses taken in these programs apply to the BA in Theology degree program.

In other words, all the courses in the AAA in Theology degree program also fulfill some BA degree requirements, all the diploma courses also meet various AAA degree requirements, etc. We structured these programs in this way so students could complete their university education in structured steps and by taking courses that would meet the requirements of other programs as they progress in their higher education. Students electing to follow this pattern on a part-time basis should follow Suggested Part-time Schedule B. Students planning to complete a traditional part-time program should elect Suggested Part-time Schedule A.
