We all have people and events of particular importance in our lives. If you would like to honor or remember a loved one, or recognize an anniversary, a special event such as college or university graduation, or other significant occasion, Living University welcomes your generosity. Through a tribute or memorial gift, you can honor a friend or loved one with a gift that bears the name of the person you wish to recognize. Your gift will support the Annual Fund unless otherwise noted. We encourage Tribute and Memorial gifts of $25 or more. Contributions to Living University, which is a not-for-profit (or charitable) organization with 501(c)(3) IRS status, are tax deductible in the manner and to the extent provided by section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. Honor With Books GiftThe Honor With Books Program provides a meaningful way to celebrate a special person in your life while making an important contribution to Living University’s library collection. For every donation of $100 or more directed to Honor With Books, a personalized bookplate will be affixed to the inside front cover of a newly acquired volume in the Living University Libraries collection. For more information about the Honor With Books Program, contact Doug Lindly, Interim Library Services Director, at 704-844-1966 or dlindly@lcg.org. The University notifies the honoree and/or the family when such a gift has been made, if we have the information (including notification information with your donation is always helpful). The notification letter includes a donor’s name and address, but not the gift amount. Unless otherwise noted by the donor, honoree or family of the deceased, tribute gifts are designated to the Annual Fund, which supports the areas of greatest need. A popular alternative, our general scholarship fund assists students with demonstrated need.
