(NOTE: the University will not be providing the ACCUPLACER for 2007 First Semester admissions (i.e., the Fall or Autumn term). The test should be available for applicants for the 2008 First Semester after April 1, 2008.) The ACCUPLACER placement test consists of four sections and assesses a student’s achievement level in sentence skills, reading comprehension, mathematics, and algebra. The ACCUPLACER test is not a timed test and it is administered by computer. If ACCUPLACER scores place the applicant into developmental coursework, the applicant must complete the developmental coursework before enrolling in college and university level English and/or mathematics courses. The University does not offer developmental courses so these should be completed locally at another institution. Credit earned in developmental courses do not count toward the required number of semester hours for graduation. |
